The tuffeau stone façades are characteristic of the Loire Valley's traditional architecture, and the interior design – a contemporary response to the humanist values of the Renaissance – prioritises light, natural materials, and handcrafted detail over ostentatious decoration. The 63 rooms and suites are spread across the main manor building and annexes arranged around courtyards and garden terraces, with higher-category rooms and suites looking directly over the Loire and the château, and several suites offering separate living areas.
