Nestled on the renowned Promenade des Anglais, overlooking the sea, there is an abundance of places to explore, from the Jardins du Musee Massena just next to the hotel, to the numerous restaurants along the promenade and the surrounding streets. Likewise, nearby is also the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Nice, which contains works by Sisley and Rodin. For those interested in history, there is also the gorgeous Villa Massena, a museum of art and history. Likewise, there is the Cathedrale Saint-Nicholas de Nice, the Basilique Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, and the Cathedrale Saint-Reparate de Nice.

The historic 4-star Hotel West End, built in 1842, is located on the renowned Promenade des Anglais. It glistens in its place along the coast, with its dazzling Belle Epoque architecture. The path up to its entrance is lined with plants and palm trees, its visage basking in the Mediterranean sun. Most of its 121 rooms have panoramic views over the Baie de Anges, and their decoration takes inspiration in styles from the baroque all the way to the modern. Its cuisine is notable, with the hotel houses numerous dining area. The Siecle Restaurant showcases Mediterranean cuisine, with an entrance inspired by the Parisian metro style of Hector Guimard and decoration styled after Art Nouveau. In nice weather, the patio may be stepped out upon, and guests can look out over the Promenade de Anglais. The Palemeraie Breakfast Restaurant, shaded by palm trees, has a gourmet breakfast offering more than 30 delights. Lavender honey from the beekeeper Yvon Torcat (whose beehives are sponsored by the hotel in an initiative to protect bees) can be enjoyed at the buffet. On top of this, there is the Lounge Palmeraie, as well as the Horse Guard Bar. This bar is located in a former chapel within the hotel, taking inspiration from old fashioned British décor, and also acts as a games room for people of all ages. The hotel’s location also makes it a perfect base for those wishing to indulge in culinary delights, art, and history, being surrounded by restaurants, museums, and cultural sights.
