Luxury bespoke holidays and tours to Cloitre St Louis, Avignon

Cloitre Saint Louis is a four star hotel in the heart of Avignon with an historical ambience. Initially a Jesuit School from 1589, a military hospital during the French Revolution and finally one of the Hôtel des Invalides, Cloitre Saint Louis' architecture is an interesting amalgamation of its past in its historic wing, and late 20th Century architecture in the second wing. The hotel's 80 rooms and suites are divided between the two wings and mainly offer views of the interior gardens. The decoration of the rooms display a simple elegance from white washed walls with one accent colour of burnished orange or deep red, and this style of decoration remains constant despite the area of the hotel. The hotel's restaurant is located in part of the 16th Century wing with high, vaulted ceilings and large windows and the impressive grandeur of the restaurant is mirrored in the restaurant's gourmet cuisine and sublime presentation. In warmer weather, guests may also dine outside in the hotel's courtyard belonging to the original cloister. Modern touches such as an outdoor swimming pool and a rooftop solarium add an extra level of luxury. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Avignon, and the Papal Palace is around ten minutes' walk from the hotel.
