Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada is located right on Grand Anse Beach, a superb stretch of sandy beach of about two miles in length, just south of the capital, St George's. As you enter the hotel you are greeted by a feeling of sophisticated elegance combined with a friendliness that reflects the family-run values of this outstanding hotel. In the main hotel building you find the two restaurants, bar, pool area and cosy lounges. Beachfront Suites boast indoor and outdoor living areas, landscaped terrace and en-suite whirlpool bath facing across the ocean; Pool Suites have their own private plunge pool or swimming pool and garden. Much of your time at Spice Island Beach Resort is bound to be spent on the superb beach, with natural shade being provided by palm and sea grape trees. A range of water sports are available for your enjoyment and Janissa's Spa offers up to date therapeutic massages and treatments. The Nutmeg Pod is a supervised play area at Spice Island Beach Resort, for children aged 3 to 12, which is complimentary and which offers some organised activities and games and provides healthy snacks. The Sea and Surf Lounge provides a casual setting for a pre-dinner cocktail and Oliver's gourmet restaurant specialises in creole and international cuisine. A real Grenadian atmosphere is to be enjoyed on the speciality nights, when Grenadian, Caribbean and seafood themes feature to the accompaniment of local live calypso music. Spice Island operates on an all-inclusive basis where prices include all meals and drinks except bottled wine and champagne.

The journey and how you get there
For a holiday to Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada, Expressions Holidays includes flights from London to Grenada with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. The flying time is about 10 hours. Spice Island Beach Resort is a 10-minute drive from the airport and Expressions Holidays will organise return private car transfers.

Minimum stays: Minimum stay of 7 nights between 16 December to 5 January and 20 January to 15 March.
Children: Children 4 years or younger stay free of charge. Children 12 and above pay an adult rate. Nutmeg Pod children's activity centre is free for children from 3 to 12 years' old and provides organised activities and games. Reductions available for up to two children sharing a room with two adults. Children under 12 are not accepted in the pool suites. Children under 5 years are not allowed in Oliver's restaurant after 6pm. Children under 5 years may dine in the Sea and Surf Terraces. Babysitting is available from US$25 with 24 hours notice required and cots are available free of charge upon request.

About Grenada

Highlights of Grenada
The carnival is in August. Food is excellent: specialities include lambi (conch), callaloo soup made of dasheen leaves, goat and seafood, nutmeg features on top of rum punches and in breakfast jelly. Rum and Carib beer are the local drinks. Perfumes and pot pourris made from the island`s spices as well as the spices themselves, straw, palm and wood craft ware all make excellent souvenirs. Recommended excursions include St George`s, Gouvaye, Concord Falls, Dougaldston Estate, Grand Etang forest centre, Grenville, Morne Fendue plantation house and La Sagesse Protected Seascape of beaches, mangrove, salt pond and coral reef.
Travel around Grenada
The hotels we feature are a short distance by taxi from the airport. However, a hire-car is very useful for visiting the island, getting into St George’s, exploring the coast for harbours and beaches. Cars can be booked through the hotels and delivered to your hotel.
