Cap maison is a stylish, boutique resort of just 49 rooms and unique villa suites of various sizes, situated on a stunning ocean bluff with panoramic sea views. Cap Maison is refreshingly different with its Spanish Caribbean architecture, its contemporary French-West Indian menu at its restaurant, Cliff At Cap, and the spacious villa-style living. The family who developed Cap Maison has instilled the resort with personal attention to detail and the service guests receive is pampering and appreciated. The resort enjoys a private position and has its highly acclaimed restaurant, a spa, branded by Sothys, which offers a range of treatments with specially designed programmes for you by the spa therapist and a secluded cove with excellent house reef and snorkelling. Yet, outside attractions and amenities are within easy reach with golf, water sports, tennis, horse riding and kite surfing all being within a few minutes of the resort. The rooms exude warmth and cosiness with lots of wood, warm colours and natural materials and yet in room technology is probably the best of any hotel in St Lucia with iPod stations, BOSE systems, stereos, TVs and internet. Rooms and suites are varied in size with numerous one, two and three bedroom options. The spacious villa suites on the top floor have private rooftop swimming pools. Children are welcome year-round but children under 12 are not allocated to the upper floor suites. Non-motorised water sports are available at the hotel. Cliff at Cap is the hotel's restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and located on the cliff-top. In-room dining is also an option with a chef available at a local charge for private dinners. There are three bars in which to quench your thirst throughout the day from the informal beach bar on Smuggler's Cove to the Cliff Bar for pre-dinner aperitifs. A unique feature is the walk in wine cellar where private tastings and dinners are held. Another highlight is Cap Maison 1, a luxury 46 foot Sea Ray motor yacht, available for Cap Maison guests to hire for skippered half or full day excursions, or even overnight trips, perhaps to the Grenadines, Martinique and Dominica. Cap Maison is a delightful, boutique hotel with a high level of personal service, high quality detail and spacious accommodation.

The journey and how you get there
For a holiday to Cap Maison in St Lucia, Expressions Holidays includes flights from London to St Lucia with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. The flying time is about 9 hours. Cap Maison is a 1 hour and 30-minute drive from the airport and Expressions Holidays will organise return private car transfers.

About St Lucia

Travel around St Lucia
The west coast road from Castries to Soufrière has a good surface and width and just winds up and down the length of the coast. The scenery is dramatic and well worth experiencing by hire car. Signposting in Castries is almost non-existent so be armed with a detailed map but be prepared to get lost a little. South of Castries, Soufrière and Hewanorra airport are well signposted.
