Grand Bay Beach is immediately outside the House, offering a quiet sweep of pale sand and clear water for swimming, snorkelling, and unhurried beach days. Charlestown, Canouan’s small main settlement, is only a few minutes away by car and provides a glimpse of everyday island life beyond the estate. Godahl Beach, a palm-lined beach known for its white sand and calm water, is close by for swimming and snorkelling. Within easy reach, the Canouan Estate offers an 18-hole, Jim Fazio-designed course with Caribbean Sea views from every hole. A hike to Mount Royal, Canouan’s highest point, takes around 45 to 90 minutes and rewards walkers with wide views across the Grenadines. Private boat trips can reach Tobago Cays Marine Park in around 20 minutes, where protected reefs, sea turtles, and rays make it one of the region’s most memorable on-water excursions; Mayreau and Salt Whistle Bay are often included in the same day out.

Set directly on Grand Bay Beach, Soho Beach House Canouan is a 40-bedroom Caribbean House arranged across three low-rise white wooden buildings with traditional blue tin roofs. The setting is deliberately informal and beach-focused, with the Caribbean Sea close at hand, and the wider Canouan Estate providing access to additional pools, bars, restaurants, and island facilities. Bedrooms are designed in a calm, natural palette, using timber furniture and details inspired by Caribbean homes. Every room has either direct beach access or a balcony facing the ocean, giving the House a strong connection to its shoreline setting. The dining palapa and terrace form the social centre of the property, serving Caribbean dishes from the wood-fired grill alongside familiar Soho House favourites. Guests can also stop at the Deli for pastries, smoothies, and soft-serve ice cream, or arrange a private menu with the Executive Chef for dinner on the beach or out on the Jetty. About St Vincent and the Grenadines

Travel around the Grenadines
On St Vincent, taxis will take you on island tours and for shorter distances too. In the Grenadines travel from island to island is usually by boat or Air Mustique. The islands are very small and on Palm Island and PSV there are no cars. On Bequia taxis are available if you want to see the other side of the island. Be prepared for lots of trips by small boats and planes.
