Luxury bespoke holidays to Four Seasons Resort, Mauritius

Four Seasons Resort Mauritius is located on the stunning Anahita estate, nestled on a thin beach-fringed peninsula that stretches into the Indian Ocean off Mauritius's spectacular east coast. Rich in indigenous timber and volcanic stone, with an airy, tranquil design that brings Mauritius's natural beauty right into the resort, Four Seasons features large windows and open-sided architecture that affords views of the lagoon and Bambou Mountains from almost every room. Scattered throughout the palm trees and beachfront gardens, there are 136 spacious villas at Four Seasons, some on the beach-fringed mainland, others on the resort's idyllic 11-acre private island, Ile aux Chats. Enhancing the connection with the lush tropical surroundings, each room has its own bougainvillea-filled sanctuary, where guests can drink up the night sky while soaking in their open-air bath. Away from the resort's three bone-white beaches, Ernie Els's par-72 championship golf course is no more than a seven-iron from reception, with six ocean-front holes making it one of the most spectacular courses on the island. In addition, there are two floodlit tennis courts, as well as a gym, yoga pavilion, aerobics classes, extensive watersports, a PADI dive school, and four swimming pools, including a children's pool in Hobbit's Village, the resort's dedicated Kids' Club for children aged 4 to 9. There are four dining options at Four Seasons Resort, from the elegant, intimate Beau Champ, through to the casual Bambou, where guests can enjoy seafood and pan-Asian cuisine by the pool. A tranquil, beautiful escape, Four Seasons Resort has a huge array of facilities in a spectacular setting.

About Mauritius

An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Mauritius gives travellers a true experience of paradise. Mauritius is a luxury holiday destination par excellence, with a superb concentration of outstanding hotels offering the highest possible standards of comfort and service. The island of Mauritius is very attractive with a lush, green interior and sugar cane fields alongside jagged mountain peaks. Along the coastline there are miles of soft white sand beaches lapped by calm, translucent, turquoise water, protected by a reef almost entirely around the whole island. The beaches of Mauritius are often the highlight of a luxury holiday here, fringed by casuarinas or coconut palms which sway against the deep blue of the sky and the turquoise of the sea. Poinsettia and bougainvillaea line the roads and hug the buildings. It is the people of Mauritius that make this island so very special and unique, living in a harmony that welcomes and pleases visitors. There is a fascinating mix of Indian, African, Chinese and European with religions being Hindu and Islam, Buddhist and Christian. This attractive mix of flavours is apparent in the local architecture and cuisine which makes a rich use of the local fruits and spices. Mauritius is a paradise of sea and sand with charming people, offering a perfect luxury holiday destination.

Highlights of Mauritius
