You are met at Ayers Rock Airport by a member of staff and transferred by luxury 4WD to Longitude 131°. The hotel offers Outdoor swimming pool, Boutique, Library, Bar. Immersed in the wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Longitude 131º is a unique camping experience in Australia's Red Centre. This eco-sensitive camp is made up of solid wall pioneer-style tents, which are spread out to guarantee tranquillity and privacy. The fifteen guest tents have been decorated in understated, earthy tones and finishes, combining a mixture of colonial and contemporary furniture with modern amenities to provide luxurious surroundings. A glass wall facing Uluru ensures unparalleled views, ideal for watching the colours of the rock change magnificently at sunrise and sunset. Communal facilities are situated in the Dune House in the middle of the campsite, with a dining room, a library, and a self-service open bar. Meals reflect contemporary Australian cuisine, influenced by international flavours and using fresh, quality produce. Table 131 offers an alternative to the communal dining, with a chance to dine out under the stars on a completely secluded sand dune. The camp runs an excellent complimentary touring programme, designed exclusively for guests, such as an Uluru and Kantju Gorge Sunset tour, an Uluru sunset walk and a Mulgara gallery and township tour. This eco-sensitive camp offers a truly unique and exclusive experience of the Red Centre.

The journey and how you get there

For a holiday to Longitude 131 in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Expressions Holidays includes flights from London to Australia with British Airways or Qantas and onward domestic flights with Qantas to Ayers Rock. All international airports in Australia are served by a wide variety of international airlines and we can include other airlines in your holiday. The chosen airline will depend upon any stopovers you might want to make en-route to Australia. Ayers Rock Airport can be reached from Sydney (3 hours and 30 minutes), Melbourne (3 hours) or Cairns (3 hours). Longitude 131 is a 15-minute drive from the airport and Expressions Holidays includes four-wheel drive transfers to reach this hotel from the airport. Alternatively, the hotel is around a 5-hour drive from Alice Springs. A hire-car can be provided for those wishing to explore the wider area or as part of a longer touring itinerary.

About Northern Territory

An Expressions tailor-made holiday to the Northern Territory of Australia allows travellers to experience just some of the diversity of this vast country. The Northern Territory comprises two different areas – the monsoonal Top End and the dry Red Centre. Much of the land is Aboriginal owned, which has allowed their ancient culture and traditions to flourish. The Top End is home to Darwin, a lively multi-cultural city, and the lush tropical Kakadu National Park, with excellent wildlife and significant rock-art sites. The Red Centre is most famous for Uluru (Ayers Rock), which rises spectacularly out of the flat desert, but there are many other sites of interest and beauty to be found, such as meteorite craters, beautiful waterfalls and sinister canyons.
