Our opinion
Anahita World Class Sanctuary is a beautiful resort offering one- to five-bedroom villas and residences - perfect for families.
Hotel description
Situated on the east coast of Mauritius and stretching along six kilometres of uninterrupted shoreline, Anahita World Class Sanctuary offers a residential hideaway, the first of its kind on the island. Built on a secluded lagoon, Anahita’s various residences and apartments spread outward across the coast line, offering abundance in waterfront accommodation. Designed and sold to private owners as holiday apartments, all of the properties have been furnished as a unit and all reflect a similar pattern and are utilised as hotel accommodation as well.
The concept behind the Anahita World Class Sanctuary is to capture the typical Mauritian expression of veranda living. In Mauritius the veranda is the prominent feature of the property, usually being very large and acting as the main area for the family to spend their time. The concept at Anahita reflects this, with many of the veranda's also offering enclosed plunge pools. The residences consist of two, three and four bedroom units containing fully fitted kitchens, living area and of course the veranda. It is the perfect setting to call home in Mauritius. On-site shopping and local market goods allow for the units at Anahita World Class Sanctuary to be self catering should this be convenient. And if not, there is a Michelin starred restaurant on the property. Although superior in cuisine the restaurant is very relaxed and blends in with the general ambience of the rest of the resort. Set on the water's edge, cool waves lap onto the shore and all ages are welcome to enjoy the impressive cuisine. The property boasts a kid's and a teen’s club, which focuses on activities that adults can join in with as well, such as snorkeling and cooking lessons. And for a more action packed day out, a trip into the mountains to L’Etoiles may be in order. A little hideaway in the hills, L’Etoiles offers many activities such as quad biking, archery and horse riding which can be enjoyed at reduced cost for guests. Adult golfers can enjoy complimentary rounds of golf at the 18-hole Erni Els championship course at Anahita and the Spa at the Four Seasons is also available to Anahita World Class Sanctuary guests.
