Our opinion
The Colony Club is an elegant yet informal hotel that offers charming surroundings for an active family beach holiday.
Hotel description
Standing amidst spacious tropical gardens of lawns and coconut palms, the Colony Club leads down to a marvellous beachfront of soft golden-white sand lapped by the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. The ambience of the Colony Club is elegant yet informal, its architectural style matching its name. Traditional touches such as rattan chairs combine with graceful neutral colours to create interiors that are welcoming and bright.
The bedrooms of the Colony Club vary in size and location but are all spacious and well furnished. Balconies and patios attached to each room allow you to enjoy views over the pools, the gardens or the ocean. The hotel has an excellent selection of rooms that are suitable for families, including the junior and one-bedroom suites that sleep up to 2 adults and 3 children.Extensive swimming lagoons and streams meander through the property’s seven acres of gardens towards the palm-fringed beach, providing ample space for relaxing and enjoying the sun. The Colony Club has excellent facilities, including two tennis courts and a wide array of complimentary water sports, such as snorkelling, kayaking and dinghy sailing. The Colony Club’s main restaurant, Laguna, enjoys a beautiful situation looking out over the gardens with the ocean in the distance. This restaurant is ideal for families, complementing the contemporary international dishes on the main menu with an individual children’s menu. For a more refined environment, guests aged over 12 years can dine in the ornate colonial setting of The Orchid, which has an exquisite à la carte menu that is accompanied by an extensive wine list. The Colony Club is an elegant yet informal hotel that offers charming surroundings for an active beach holiday. (Please note that children under 12 are not permitted in the hotel in February.)
