Experience the romance of rail travel as you journey through Europe by train to beautiful Lake Como in Italy. Lake Como is located amongst stunning scenery in the foothills of the Alps, just a short drive from Milan. For this rail-holiday, we recommend staying in one of two charming grand hotels, right on the banks of Lake Como.

Our suggested rail holiday
Travel by Eurostar from London to Paris, by train to Milan then on to Lake Como by car where you stay at either the Grand Hotel Tremezzo or the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni.
Commence your rail holiday by leaving London mid-afternoon in order to connect with the overnight sleeper from Paris, arriving in Milan shortly before 6am.
Following your stay on Lake Como, you will be taken by private transfer to the station in Milan to return to the UK by train. The return sleeper train leaves Milan shortly after 11:30pm, arriving into Paris around 9:30am enabling you to take any Eurostar from 11am onwards back to the UK.

Alternative options for your rail holiday to Lake Como
We can organise a combination of overnight and daytime travel options to suit, including rail journeys journeying through the spectacular scenery of the Alps. Below are some examples of alternative rail journeys:
After leaving London on a morning Eurostar service, it is also possible to take a daytime train from Paris directly through to Milan, arriving between 7:30pm and 10pm depending on the day of the week. We then arrange for your private transfer to take you directly to the hotel on the shores of Lake Como.
For your return rail journey, you can also travel back to the UK in one day by daytime service via Milan or the Gotthard Pass in Switzerland.
