Garden tour of Tuscany
A garden tour through the extraordinary Tuscany landscapes and chic artistic towns is a wonderful way to enjoy this popular region of Italy. To really make the most of the region and its gardens we suggest a garden tour which allows you to split your time between a stay in the heart of Chianti country and time in Lucca, closer to the sea.
For the first part of your garden tour you will spend 3 nights at the delightful Hotel Borgo San Felice which boasts its own prestigious winery in the Chianti Classico region a few miles north of the beautiful town of Siena.
Your garden tour starts with a visit to Villa Poggio Torselli at San Casciano Val di Pesa, before moving on to Giardino di Vignamaggio at Greve and Villa Geggiano near Siena. The latter part of your garden tour takes you towards the coast and the town of Lucca where you will stay in the charming Hotel Bagni di Pisa. This leg of your garden tour allows you to visit some of the less well-known gems of this region including Villa Grabau, Villa Oliva and the Parco della Villa Reale di Marlia, which boasts its own open-air theatre. An additional excursion on your garden tour could also include a visit to the nearby villa Torrigiani which is well-known for its cypress trees.
