To Avignon by train then a tour of Provence
Make the most of the excellent connections leaving London by Eurostar about 7am changing at Lille Europe and then taking the TGV to Avignon to arrive about 3pm. On the return journey you leave Avignon about midday to reach London by about 8pm. (Times may vary). In between you use a hire-car, collecting it in Avignon, to tour the glorious scenery of inland Provence, with its lavender beds, olive groves and Van Gogh-like landscapes.
