Our opinion
The Anassa Hotel is the ultimate pampering retreat in effortlessly elegant surroundings.
Hotel description
The palatial and majestic Anassa stands overlooking the celebrated Baths of Aphrodite, hugging the hillside above a charming beach. The hotel, which is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group, enjoys a stunning rural location on the unspoilt north-west coast of the island and offers a fine array of health and beauty treatments in the breathtaking Thalassa Spa. Drawing on the restorative and rejuvenating qualities of the minerals present in natural seawater, the Anassa spa offers a variety of revitalising body treatments tuned to your individual requirements. At the end of a day’s treatments the four restaurants welcome you with an eclectic mix of local and international dishes. The open-air terrace of the Amphora restaurant offers casual dining and sea views while at the Helios, Anassa’s main dining room, you can enjoy a vast choice from either the à la carte or table d’hôte menus. For a romantic, candle-lit treat the Basiliko serves a fusion of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. If you prefer snacks by one of the hotel’s three swimming pools, the Pelagos offers light meals, ice creams and thirst quenching cocktails. Many of the ingredients are organically grown at the hotel’s own farm and fresh fish are brought daily by the fishermen of Latchi. The architecture of the Anassa hotel has been designed to mimic a classical Greek village with its whitewashed villas and louvred shutters. A wide range of accommodation is on offer, located either in the main building or in one of the individual residences dotted around the immaculately landscaped gardens. For the ultimate in privacy and comfort, the garden studio suites are set amongst the fragrant plants of the hotel’s gardens with spacious interiors decorated in pastel shades. Whichever room type you choose, you will benefit from luxury fixtures and fittings and your own private balcony or terrace enjoying breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea.
