One of the most prestigious hotels on the Amalfi Coast, the Hotel San Pietro occupies a stunning location, its site on a headland on the coast just outside Positano towards Amalfi hewn out of the rugged cliffs to maximise its natural position and sea views. A 5-star hotel and Relais & Châteaux member, the Hotel San Pietro is famous for its terraces, adorned by flowering plants and shrubs, the pink and purple of bougainvillaea, its panoramic views and its high standards of hospitality. Much more than a hotel, the San Pietro is the sort of place you can immerse yourself in and not need to venture from during your stay. In the main body of the hotel there are sun terraces, a dining terrace covered by a pergola and a swimming pool, and reached by lift inside the cliff-face is a tennis court and private shingle beach with bar service and sun loungers. A fitness centre is located in a beautiful natural setting overlooking the sea; as well as a gym and a Turkish Bath it has a number of well-being packages available for guests, including face and body treatments, massages and pedicures. Vegetables are grown in the terraced gardens and indoor plants abound throughout the building from the spacious lounges to the guests bedrooms. All bedrooms at the Hotel San Pietro have a sea view and a private balcony or terrace and are decorated in a style that complements the climate and the geographic location, maintaining a coolness and luxurious comfort. The Neapolitan flavour is enhanced by the ornate ceramic floor tiles, vaulted ceilings and luxurious white upholstered armchairs.
