The Caesar Augustus is an elegant villa perched on the cliffs in Anacapri and owned by the Signorini family, who have cared for the villa for the last three generations. The mansion of the Caesar Augustus has been painstakingly restored and transformed into a luxury Relais & Chateaux hotel of just 55 cosy rooms, furnished with regional flavour combined with antiques and artistic attention to detail, fitting of its status. Rooms are of a good size, with the smallest category, the deluxe, being 344 sq ft. Most face the sea and have balcony or terrace. The furnishings and decoration combine to create a feeling of calm, elegance, sophistication and cosiness. The Caesar Augustus hotel is on a number of floors and there are garden terraces bursting with greenery and colour. Umbrella pines, palms and cypress trees provide shade to the garden areas. The Caesar Augustus hotel is lucky to have a large terrace affording spectacular sea and island views. Swimming is sublime in the rimless pool where pool and sea in the distance seem to merge. The restaurant, the Lucullus Terrace, serves plenty of local vegetable dishes, fish and seafood. Charming and luxurious, traditional and reflecting regional flavour too.
