Our opinion
Le Sirenuse is full of character, charm and superb quality. An exceptional hotel.
Hotel description
Le Sirenuse is a 5 star hotel of outstanding quality and charm, a haven where the traditions of yesterday are in harmony with the comforts of today. Originally the summer residence of the Marchese Sersale, to whom the hotel still belongs, Le Sirenuse was transformed into an hotel in the early 1950s, yet the ambience of a delightful private home is maintained and enhanced by the number of cosy corners, lounges and terraces, inside and out, that the hotel has for reading or a drink. Just five minutes’ walk from the port and seafront of Positano, the Hotel Le Sirenuse is blessed with stunning views over Positano and the sea. From its terraces there is a marvellous feeling of proximity to the roofs of the houses and the dome of the church. Tiled floors, white walls and abundant plants combine well with comfortable sofas, antique chairs and tables, paintings and ornaments. The elegant bar has an exquisite 18th Century antique counter. Meals are served in the arcaded restaurant or al fresco on the panoramic terrace. The bedrooms of the Hotel le Sirenuse vary in size and all but a few have sea view and balcony or terrace. There is a long, narrow swimming pool and poolside terrace, also with remarkable views. There is also a full Aveda spa where guests have complimentary use of the gym, sauna and steam bath. A wide range of treatments will calm the mind and rejuvenate the body, as Aveda blends perfectly the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with the more modern practice of using extract of plants and flowers. Treatments at the spa include a body polish, a pure massage and an express facial. The Hotel le Sirenuse combines most skilfully high standards of professional service and a relaxed, holiday environment.
