The Hotel Poseidon is one of our favourite hotels and one that is also highly praised by our clients consistently. The hotel has a charming ambience of style and relaxation. A 4 star family-run hotel, the Hotel Poseidon is situated in the romantic, terraced resort of Positano. The public rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques whilst the lounge-bar has an open fire-place, comfortable armchairs and the terraced garden bursts with vines, bougainvillaea, roses and flowering shrubs. Original paintings hang from the walls throughout the hall and public rooms, adding charm and character. There is a very good restaurant at the Hotel Poseidon with service inside and outdoors on the terrace, covered by a pergola where vines and wisteria bloom and which overlooks Positano and the sea. Light lunches are served - ideal if you’re spending the day by the pool. Most bedrooms at the Hotel Poseidon have a private terrace or balcony; there are two basic categories of rooms, with the superior ones being larger and having a partial sea view and the standard ones having a garden or village view. Within the Hotel Poseidon is a small but elegant beauty centre, which has a Turkish bath, solarium and offers various body and facial treatments. The well-equipped gym is free to all hotel guests. The hotel is ideal for honeymooners, sun-lovers and those wishing to explore this beautiful stretch of coastline. The swimming pool has a panoramic terrace, where it’s a delight to sit and enjoy the view over Positano to the sea, especially when the purple bougainvillaea is in bloom or in the evenings at dusk. Positano has managed to preserve its atmosphere as a quaint artists’ and fishing village; coaches are forbidden and there are no large hotels. It has numerous art galleries, clothes shops and craft stores, restaurants, cafés and bars, all of which complement the charming ambience of Positano.
