Occupying a wonderful location on the northwest of the island, Constance Lemuria is surrounded by verdant vegetation and three secluded white sand beaches that are lapped by turquoise waters. The resort’s wood and thatch architecture has been created in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings. An elegance that is relaxed and understated prevails throughout the hotel, from the cascades of water over black marble in the reception, to the dramatic lighting of the open-air bar. The swimming pool provides the perfect location for a refreshing dip, and is dramatically composed of three pools that flow into one another, set amongst granite boulders and palm trees. The hotel has a wide range of leisure activities, from tennis and golf to complimentary water sports such as sailing, kayaking and snorkelling. Daily charters for deep-sea fishing or excursions to nearby islands for snorkelling and hiking can be arranged at the Boathouse, making this an ideal choice for a more active holiday. The resort is equally well-equipped for relaxation and the spa offers a good range of treatments, ranging from massages and facials to more intensive two-day programmes that are ideal if you are seeking true relaxation and rejuvenation. At night, the simple elegance that prevails throughout the day becomes more sophisticated in the romantic setting of the gourmet Legend restaurant, which overlooks the Indian Ocean and where dinner buffets and theme evenings are held. French fine dining is offered in the casually elegant Seahorse Restaurant, which looks out over the fantastic 18-hole golf course. The palm-thatched guestrooms are elegantly simple, decorated with contrasting dark cherry wood and white natural fabrics. The rooms face towards the Indian Ocean and the setting sun, although the luxuriant shrubs and trees obscure a clear view of the sea. There are eight spacious Senior Suites at the resort, which have been beautifully decorated in warm colours and are designed to blend in with the superb scenery outside. They benefit from a separate lounge and a double-size terrace where you can relax with a book on a hammock or a sun lounger. Constance Lemuria is elegant and refined; a superb resort in a stunning natural setting.
