    Our opinion

The Heritage Awali has an excellent range of services tailored for the enjoyment of all ages.

    Hotel description

The Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort resides on a beautiful lagoon flanked by the prestigious Golf du Chateau golf course. The African influence is evident at the hotel. After being greeted to the hotel by the resounding beat of the tom tom drum, guests are escorted to their rooms passing by walls painted in warm ochre, deeply coloured woods, African and Madagascan furniture and objects of unusual originality.
The 154 deluxe rooms and 5 suites at the Heritage Awali are decorated to reflect the theme of the hotel. Warm colours, straw fashioned lamp shades, oiled woods and great earthenware jars form the make-up of the rooms which in turn fold out onto their own private terrace or balcony. The deluxe rooms can cater for two adults and two children under 12 as well as offering interconnecting facilities. A choice of beachfront, ocean view and partly ocean view allow for all the Heritage Awali rooms to offer a glance across the Indian Ocean. The Balafon restaurant serves excellent breakfasts and dinners. For a more casual dining experience the Infinity Blue restaurant serves lunch on the beach to those who enjoy burrowing their toes in the sand. The Seven Colours spa is at the disposal of the guests as is the magnificent Golf du Chateau 18 hole golf course. The Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort offers four swimming pools, one of which is the children’s pool, as well as 300 metres worth of sparkling white beach and sea. Water sports are complimentary if non-motorised along with many land sports including tennis, table tennis and archery. Car rental is also available for a more extensive exploration of the island. The mini club, Timono and friends, is available for children aged 4 to 12 years. There is also a teen club on offering activities for older children aged 13 to 18. The club is open daily from 10am to 11pm and includes the children’s pool.
