    Our opinion

"Fantastic four star all-inclusive on a large island with heaps of facilities".

    Hotel description

Kuredu Island Resort lies in the northern Lhaviyani Atoll and is the second largest island resort in the Maldives at nearly two kilometres long and 325 metres wide. You reach the resort by seaplane in about 40 minutes from Male. Kuredu is a fantastic, busy, excellent value, four star resort, operating on an all-inclusive basis and thanks to the size of the island, has numerous leisure facilities at hand. The majority of the accommodation is on the land, with garden and beach bungalows, beach villas and jacuzzi beach villas being well-equipped and spacious enough to accommodate two adults and one child or three adults. There is a team of Island Hosts available, contactable by phone or at the Front Desk. They can take care of any specific questions or arrangements during your stay. With so much available, days at Kuredu can be full of activity on the land and in the water. The resort is good for families with children who don’t want a kids club but who do want plenty going on and games for the children to join in with. Bedrooms do not have televisions but there is a TV lounge in the entertainment centre where films are also shown sometimes. There is table tennis, table football, darts, board games, beach volleyball, tennis, football (there is football pitch!) and badminton as well as golf and water sports. The water sports centre has a wide range of activities with lessons available from qualified instructors. Similarly the dive centre on the island is the single largest dive operation in Asia, complete with hyperbaric chamber. For mealtimes, there is also a wide choice with four restaurants for all-inclusive diners, although there are restrictions for the garden and beach bungalow guests. In addition, there are numerous A la Carte restaurants, serving Maldivian cuisine, Italian, Asian and grills (a reduction of 20% off the A la carte menus is given for the all-inclusive guests). Kuredu offers excursions from the island every day including a cruise on one of their wooden yachts that stops for snorkelling, swimming and a barbeque lunch on a deserted island, a sunset cruise when you often see dolphins, an island hop (taking you to neighbouring inhabited islands), a big game fishing trip or night fishing. All in all, Kuredu offers incredible value and a fantastic range of activities in a four star resort.
