Hotel description
Set within its very own lagoon, this luxurious spa resort is reached by a 30-minute speedboat ride across the Indian Ocean. The resort is composed of distinct wooden buildings with traditional thatched roofs, which are simply furnished with wood finishes and natural colours, working in harmony with the magnificent natural environment. The ocean is a very prominent feature at Huvafen Fushi and guests can especially admire the turquoise waters at the Aquum Spa. Here there are treatments to calm the mind and nourish the body using traditional plants, herbs and flowers. The resort has two of the world’s first underwater spa treatment rooms, providing a unique experience. Complementing the pampering services of the spa is a range of water sports, from scuba diving to snorkelling, and catamaran excursions can also be arranged. Huvafen Fushi also has a wonderful over-water yoga pavilion and Lonu Veyo, an outdoor saltwater flotation pool. The resort’s focus on well-bring is reflected in the light and healthy cuisine of its three restaurants. With varying locations and an emphasis on flavour, guests are spoilt for choice for their meals. The resort’s signature restaurant is Salt, set against a backdrop of water and reached by a long jetty from the island, offering a tempting array of fish and seafood. Experience fresh, seasonal produce and local dishes at Celsius, where you can enjoy the cosy ambience inside or eat al fresco, overlooking the beautiful lagoon. A number of private dining experiences are also available, including underneath the stars on a secluded sandbank or in the resort’s underground cellar, ensuring a wealth of memorable experiences. Each of the 43 bungalows and pavilions has been distinctively designed and enjoys the benefit of their own freshwater swimming pool. Set either on the beach or over the ocean, they are all spacious and elegant. The beach bungalows have a timber deck at front that provides the perfect space to relax, whilst the ocean bungalows face the Indian Ocean and boast a three-tier deck, a dining area and a living room with a glass floor so that guests can gaze at the crystal clear ocean below. Huvafen Fushi offers a high degree of quality and service, in a distinctive and luxurious environment.
