  • About this holiday

Expressions Holidays recommends Constance Halaveli Resort for those in search of a little extra luxury. The hotel opened in 2009 and has state-of-the-art facilities including villas with WiFi connection, DVDs, Mac minis and more, and each villa also boasts its own plunge pool, plenty of tranquil space, some with a tropical garden, or in the water villas spectacular floor-to-ceiling views over the lagoon. The luxurious villas are a delight for honeymooners, but families also love this resort partly for its kids club which is open until 10pm, allowing parents to dine alone if they prefer. Divers will also adore Halaveli Resort, as it's near three of the Maldives' best dive sites. And for those who have yet to learn the pleasure of diving there is also a PADI dive school. You'll never want to dive anywhere else once you've entered these pristine, warm tropical waters.

Client testimonial: "The resort was fantastic as were all the staff."

    Our opinion

An idyllic sanctuary that’s perfect for families and couples alike.

    Hotel description

Constance Halaveli Resort opened in 2009 in the stunning North Ari Atoll. With water villas fanning out from the semi-circular island like a mast and sail, the resort brings to mind a dhoni drifting along upon the bluest of lagoons. Taking traditional Maldivian luxury to new heights, Constance Halaveli Resort has private plunge pools in each of its 86 contemporary thatched villas. Circling the island, the resort’s 20 beach villas are particularly spacious, each cocooned in its own tropical garden. Equally luxurious, perched right over the lagoon alongside a jetty that arcs toward the ocean, are the Constance Halaveli Resort’s 57 water villas. Beautifully designed, with floor-to-celing windows staring out across the lagoon, and private sun-decks where guests can luxuriate over sunset cocktails or cool off in their private plunge pool, the water villas bring you spectacularly close to the ocean. While the villas at Constance Halaveli make this a honeymooners’ delight, the resort will also appeal to families, with a fabulous Kids' Club (ages 4-11) that’s open from 9am right up until 10pm, so that parents can enjoy an intimate evening meal, either at Jing, serving Asian Fusion cuisine on stilts over the lagoon, Jahaz, the main buffet restaurant serving International Cuisine, or in Meeru, which has a relaxed, barefoot atmosphere right on the beach. Days are usually spent wandering the beach or snorkelling in the lagoon, but more active guests can use the tennis court and gym, or try the water sports. Close to three of the best dive sites in the Maldives (Shark Point, Maaya Thila and Halaveli Wreck), the resort also has its own excellent PADI dive school. The Spa de Constance treatment pavilion offers a unique space resting on stilts over the tranquil lagoon. This is an oasis of calm where you can take time out to soothe your body and rejuvenate your spirit. Constance Halaveli is an idyllic sanctuary for families and couples alike.
