Lying on one of the most beautiful stretches of pink sand beach in the Bahamas, the Pink Sands hotel has welcomed guests for more than 40 years and was designed by Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki. Pink Sands is located on charming Harbour Island, just one and a half miles off the northern coast of Eleuthera. Amid 18 acres of lush gardens of palms, bougainvillaea and other tropical flowers and shrubs, the 25 Pink Sands bedrooms are situated in pretty pastel cottages with classic Bahamian roofs and shutters. The highest standards of modern comfort are offered in the rooms at the Pink Sands hotel; you will find air conditioning, DVD players, pressurised water systems and a wet bar with mini-fridge. The real charm of Pink Sands, however, lies in the interior design: inside, there are rough-cut Italian marble floors with rugs, local artwork and oversized Adirondack furniture, set against a mellow wash of baby pink and baby blue, while the private patios boast fine teak furniture.
