Our opinion
Carlisle Bay is a new generation of Stylish Luxury for the Caribbean
Hotel description
Carlisle Bay is a luxurious boutique-style hotel on a beautiful stretch of white-sand beach on the southwest coast of Antigua, set against a backdrop of hills and rainforest. The hotel is a CampbellGray Hotel; a collection of exquisite hotels. There are a total of 82 spacious suites with calm, stylish interiors and wonderful ocean views from their private terrace or balcony. Some suites are split-level whilst others have a study, second or third bedroom. Bathrooms are contemporary in decoration and combine space with practicality - a big plus. Health and wellbeing are fundamental to Carlisle Bay: the Blue Spa has six luxurious treatment rooms offering treatments from Natura Bissé, there's also a state-of-the-art gym, open-air yoga and Pilates pavilion, sauna and plunge pools. Other sports facilities include a dive centre, a range of water sports, a large freeform swimming pool and nine tennis courts with the services of a tennis pro. Carlisle Bay has two excellent restaurants: Indigo on the Beach offers light and healthy grills, fresh seafood and salads and East serves excellent pan-Asian cuisine for dinner in a stunning contemporary setting. Unique bonuses are the luxurious cinema and fabulous library with a collection of books to suit all tastes. A purpose-built kids’ club has been operating very successfully for the last two years, organising activities for children aged six months to twelve years and free of charge for those over three years old. Carlisle Bay exudes luxury and style executed with understated elegance, plus high standards of accommodation, comfort and service.
