Blue Waters is elegant, casual and enjoys a charming location

Hotel description

Only about four miles north of St John’s, Blue Waters enjoys a favoured location on a slight hill which descends to two curved white sand beaches nestling between two small headlands. In fourteen acres of luxuriant tropical gardens bursting with hibiscus, flamboyant and bougainvillaea, Blue Waters offers a wide range of accommodation and holiday facilities, priding itself on a style that is both elegant and casual. The scene is set as you enter through the gardens and approach the magnificent reception and lounge area, through which you can see to the green and leafy terraces beyond. There are 67 rooms, 32 suites, 3 villas and 4 penthouses. All rooms at the hotel have been simply but elegantly furnished with dark wood furniture and elegant beige or neutral-coloured fabrics. With the recent addition of the Cove Suites there are now numerous room types that either give spacious accommodation for a couple or can comfortably take two adults and two children. The lush grounds on the hillside sloping towards the Caribbean Sea create a feeling of spaciousness and wellbeing and there is an excellent range of facilities and activities both on the premises and nearby. There are three swimming pools and the hotel offers excellent free water sports for the daytime. Blue Waters is now an all-inclusive resort, so enjoy your complimentary afternoon tea on the verdant terrace with views of the sea below and in the distance. In the evening, there are three restaurants to choose from with Bartleys being adults only. There is also the magnificent Rock Cottage, a four-bedroom property with a fifth smaller room where you have a cook and a housekeeper, a fully equipped kitchen and a jacuzzi and plunge pool. Blue Waters offers a high-quality hotel environment, friendly and attentive service and is very good value.
