An Expressions family holiday to the Almyra is recommended for families who want a combination of a high quality hotel that caters extremely well for families, is on a beach and yet within walking distance of a town centre and one that is superb value for money. The journey and how you get there

An Expressions Holiday to the Almyra is based on a British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Paphos but we can also offer you Heathrow to Larnaca which is a slightly longer tranfser but it offers sometimes more availability. Lots of our clients want to take a flight from their local airport to Paphos and this we can arrange for them, including in the holiday a no-frills or a charter flight. Once you arrive in Paphos, you will be met by a private transfer and taken to the hotel about 45 minutes' drive from the airport.

Hotel description

The Almyra benefits from an excellent position close to the shops and attractions of Paphos town, with beautiful views over Paphos harbour. This stylish and contemporary seaside resort was refurbished in 2004 to the highest standard. The dazzling white architecture of the resort is modern and yet typically Cypriot in style, beautifully set within eight acres of landscaped gardens.
The Almyra ’s rooms have been enlarged and redesigned and reflect a contemporary Mediterranean style. Natural tones and light fabrics combine with custom-designed furniture to create calm spaces that complement the vivid colours of the garden and sea views. Families are spoilt for choice, with interconnecting rooms available in most categories. The two bedroom suites are especially suitable as they are able to accommodate up to two adults and two children.Families are central to the Almyra’s philosophy, with truly outstanding service and facilities that will make every aspect of your holiday straightforward and enjoyable. This begins with the ‘Baby Go Lightly’ form, which is sent out prior to arrival, aimed at enabling families to travel more lightly by providing many essentials such as changing mats, buggies and organic baby food. Children aged from four to twelve can take part in the Smiling Dolphin Club and there is a partially shaded kids’ swimming pool. There is also a superb range of facilities suitable for older guests, from the sea sports centre offering scuba diving and waterskiing to golf at the nearby 18-hole course. The Almyra resort has three restaurants and arranges early dinners for the benefit of young children. The restaurants include buffets at Mosaics Restaurant and a summer restaurant, Ouzeri, serving light Greek snacks. High standards of service and a dedication to family holidays make the Almyra an outstanding and welcoming destination.

Children's club
The Smiling Dolphin Club is open year round (in season or on request in the winter months) for children aged between 4 and 12 years old. A daily fee is to be paid locally. The club is run by trained staff members and the adult to child ratio is 8 to 1. Activities include cooking classes, T-shirt printing, dance and gym sessions, beach games and treasure hunts. Lunches and evening activities are also provided at an additional charge. The Baby Go Lightly Creche is open six days a week (10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm) for children aged 6 months to 4 years - full day and half day fees apply.
Family Rooms

All room types are suitable for children and interconnecting rooms are available in most room types. Extra beds and cots can be provided on request. The junior suites are particularly good for families Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and 2 children in the junior suites and one-bedroom suites and 2 adults and 4 children in the two bedroom suites.Children`s Amenities

Almyra has three restaurants, from buffets in the Mosaics Restaurant to light Greek snacks in the summer restaurant, Ouzeri, and Mediterranean cuisine with a Japanese touch in Notios Restaurant.
