New flight to Cancun

New flight by British Airways to Cancun in Mexico now launched.

Direct flight to Cancun British Airways has launched a direct flight from London Gatwick to Cancun in Mexico.

This opens up the Riviera Maya which has some sophisticated new resort-hotels about 50 kms to the south. Riviera Maya is renowned for its range of good quality restaurants, extensive water sports but also a fascinating array of ancient Mayan sites such as Tulum that can be visited.
The flight operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays until the end of March 2011 flying from Gatwick at 12.40 and arriving in Cancun at 17.40 and returning from Cancun at 19.15 arriving in Gatwick at 10.15 the next morning. From April to October 2011 the flight operates three times a week, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing at 09.55 and arriving at 14.10 and then returning at about 15.30 and arriving at about 06.45 the next morning. The times may vary a little between the days of operation.
