Nestling in the hills to the south of Florence is the splendid five star luxury boutique hotel, the Castello del Nero, which has been lavishly but tastefully transformed from an ancient fortified manor house dating right back to the twelfth Century. The Castello del Nero was the summer residence of the noble Del Nero family and its centuries of history have been preserved in the reconstruction.
