Marry in a Stunning Mountain Setting
Do you dream of a beautiful wedding amidst emerald-green tea plantations in the High Tea Country? Stepping back into the era of the colonial tea planters?
The four luxurious 4-5 bedroomed plantation bungalows of Ceylon Tea Trails offer lovely garden and indoor settings, with Castlereagh Bungalow proving to be the most popular wedding location due to its lakeside views. Those who would like a church ceremony can marry in the picturesque Warleigh Church, perched on a ledge above Castlereagh Reservoir and a splendid fan of tea fields.
Ceylon Tea Trails can arrange a wedding ceremony and celebrations to suit your desires, including the marriage registration, certificate and ceremony, flower bouquets, photography and video, preparation of the bride, wedding cake, champagne, music and a celebratory dinner. You may wish to marry in a traditional Sri Lankan wedding ceremony, involving a chanting of blessings, feeding each other with milk rice and water and exchanging sheaves of betel leaves, then lighting a traditional oil lamp to symbolise the couple’s success together.
Each of the Tea Trails bungalows can be hired as a whole at certain times of year (May to July and September to November).
