Wedding couples usually stay in the Peacock Suite which is the most spacious suite and has its own private courtyard garden and views of the lake tea estate and jungle. In the Peacock Suite you will find an ebony four-poster bed, cushioned window seats and two bathrooms with outdoor showers.
A traditional Sri Lankan ceremony is available, ranging from a simple ceremony in a specially made Poruwa at the hotel involving a blessing and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, to a more elaborate ceremony involving chanting Buddhist monks, Kandyan dancers and drummers, acrobats, maybe even riding on an elephant or celebrating with a firework display.
If you are booking the whole property (5 suites) for your wedding, the Dining Pavilion can be used for the wedding banquet (up to 20 guests). A marquee can be set up in the lower garden for larger wedding parties. 10 guests can be accommodated at Kahanda Kanda (including the Bride and Groom), and other guests may be accommodated at a range of hotels on the coast or in Galle.
