This latest Six Senses hotel is situated on a sandy bay near a secluded fishing village on the Sultanate of Oman’s northern Musandam Peninsula, the resort is reached from Dubai airport in about 90 minutes by car. Six Senses Zighy offers 82 pool villas and pool villa suites that combine contemporary architecture and the surrounding Omani traditional style.There is a private marina and the Zighy Souk which will sell hand made items using traditional materials and tools. In keeping with other Six Senses hotels, Zighy Bay has a wide range of accommodation from studio concept pool villas to Zighy Spa Pool villas that are on two levels and have direct access to the beach as well as their own private spa within the villa itself. Furnishings are stylish yet natural and the colour scheme complements the surrounding desert landscape enlivened with splashes of orange and ochre. Six Senses Zighy not only provides a luxurious environment for relaxation, it will also offer an authentic flavour of the Gulf, with cultural excursions to Ras al Khaimah and Arabic cooking lessons which take place twice a week in the Spice Kitchen at the Dining on the Sand restaurant. This restaurant is just one of a host of dining experiences offered by the hotel which include Bites sea food by the marina, light and healthy options in Zighys Deli and a hill top, romantic dining experience at Dining on the Edge based at an altitude of 290 metres at the top of the Zighy Mountains. The Six Senses Spa offers signature treatments based on local Arabian therapies. A unique resort in a stunning location.
