    Hotel description

The immense and luxurious Madinat Jumeirah resort has been designed to reflect a traditional and ancient Dubai, with meandering waterways, elegant domes and intricate detail. The Madinat Jumeirah resort is made up of three hotels: Mina A’Salam, Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf. Mina A’Salam and Al Qasr are impressive boutique hotels that face the palm-fringed beach.Mina A’Salam has a good choice of bars and lounges and three refined dining options. These include traditional Chinese dishes at Zheng He, ocean dining at The Wharf where fresh seafood is served, and all day dining at Al Muna where guests can enjoy Arabic and international cuisine. All restaurants have terraces where guests can dine al fresco enjoying views of the sea and harbour. Al Qasr is a luxurious palace and the centrepiece of the resort with extensive gardens and large pool areas. It also has a selection of bars, lounges and restaurants with al fresco dining. The restaurants serve a selection of French inspired cuisine with Asian and Australian influences as well as healthy Californian cuisine. Dar Al Masyaf is made up of traditional summerhouses featuring rooms and suites dotted around charming courtyards. Approached through gardens is Thai-I, Dar Al Masyaf’s secluded all day dining restaurant which serves a diverse range of cuisine with al fresco dining with beautiful views of the waterway. The Talise Spa can be reached by land or waterway, and is itself a labyrinth of paths, waterchannels and courtyards. With 26 uniquely designed treatment rooms arranged in island clusters of small private oases, the philosophy at the spa is based on holistic treatments tailored to the individual in discreet, tropical surroundings. Using local specialities, treatments are designed to rejuvenate and energise the body. The impressive new Madinat Jumeirah resort offers excellent standards of luxurious accommodation, services and facilities where guests will feel pampered and restored.

    Other information

Talise SpaTalise is the new worldwide spa brand of Jumeirah, and the spa at Madinat Jumeirah is impressively exotic, harmonious and comprehensive. 26 treatment rooms are laid out in island clusters - small private oases amidst tropical landscapes. You can stroll through private courtyards and stunning gardens, designed to ease you into a calm and relaxed frame of mind. Beautiful outdoor treatment tents allow you to experience your chosen treatment in harmony with nature, letting you immerse yourself in the Arabian surroundings. Aside from the normal treatment areas some rooms are kept private for ladies, while others are specifically for couples. The philosophy of Talise is to be the Spa for Self Discovery, and it aims to achieve this by providing a very individual, person-centred approach using five basic ingredients. Traditional spa treatments go hand in hand with alternative therapies and mind, body and soul treatments, and to these are added nutrition and physical fitness programmes. Talise uses only products from Sodashi, one of the world’s only totally natural skin care ranges.

Talise AbsolutionThe epitome of luxury, nurture and individual care. After a gentle foot ritual and pressure point massage, hot oil will be drizzled over your back, and you will have a four-hands life rhythm massage with steamed herbal poultices drenched in hot oil. Next a synchronized Lomi Lomi Sequence fused with Thai and Balinese movements. The layering of treatment oils and techniques prepare the body for the absorption and penetration of the minerals and nutrients in the full body mask. Hot compression to the face, pressure massage and an application of hair and scalp mud will culminate in an uplifting foot massage.Herbal Stone PoulticeA distinctive therapy incorporating the special healing powers of gems and potent herbs. A poultice of dark green aventurine spheres, woven into a powerful healing instrument, is applied to the core section of your body. A mixture with lavender as the key ingredient is applied to the extremities. The aventurine awakens the body’s natural healing abilities, which are drawn actively to the lavender, bringing enhanced healing energy to the limbs as the aromatic scent places the mind at ease.Talise Pure AwakeningTo reduce jet-lag or fatigue, this cleansing treatment begins with an invigorating body brushing to stimulate circulation. Sodashi’s all natural purifying mask is then applied to the whole body to stimulate the circulatory system, relieving the body of any sluggishness and congestion, removing unwanted toxins.
