Our opinion
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel “Quality, style, luxury, fantastic amenities – all in one amazing location.”
Hotel description
This amazing hotel has quickly become one of the most highly praised and appreciated hotels in the world. Standing on the beachfront, this elegantly curved structure of steel and glass has been built in the form of a breaking wave, while its interior reflects the four elements of earth, air, fire and water with each one represented by a colour scheme that divides the hotel into four different levels. At the heart of the wave and drawing together the elements is a ninety-metre high wall sculpture in the dramatic atrium of the hotel. Sister hotel to the Burj al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel combines exceptionally high standards of comfort, service and facilities with a lively, fun-oriented atmosphere. Due to its structure and location, all six hundred rooms and suites enjoy spectacular sea views. Bedrooms are spacious and furnished in contemporary style with cheerful yet restful colours, always reflecting the four elements. The rooms with balconies are particularly sought after. The rooms on one side of the ‘wave’ face the nearby Wild Wadi water theme park, to which guests have unlimited free access during their stay. Overall the Jumeirah Beach Hotel has almost every conceivable type of cuisine, shops, water sports and other sports facilities. As it even has its own tailor, it’s hard to imagine what else you might want. With its choice of twenty bars and restaurants, you can enjoy a world of dining experiences from the Lebanon to Italy, from Argentina to Asia and from casual afternoon coffee and cake in the Viennese café to cocktails and jazz in Uptown on the 24th floor. With sports facilities, again you have an enormous choice in the Pavilion sports club from squash to swimming in a 25-metre lap pool, from gym equipment to beach volleyball. The sports club is open to hotel guests and outside visitors on a membership basis. For people seeking real peace and luxury but within easy reach of all the facilities of the hotel, there are the Beit al Bahar villas, set in twelve acres of land with private walled gardens. The villas overlook the beach and have use of a swimming pool and restaurant. Stylishly Arabic outside and inside, the villas are luxuriously furnished with original artefacts, Persian carpets and hand-embroidered bedcovers. Room service is provided by the Beit al Bahar’s own poolside restaurant. The Jumeirah Beach Hotel has recently undergone some refurbishments. Rooms have been renovated and a new swimming pool has been built on the Villa Beach with exclusive access for guests staying in an executive or premium leisure deluxe room, a suite or the Beit al Bahar villas.
