Hotel description
The first luxury boutique hotel in Cyprus, the Thalassa is beautifully situated on a small peninsula, overlooking Coral Bay and surrounded on three sides by the sea. The bright architecture of the building complements the vivid natural colours of the surroundings, and this continues inside with interiors that are light and contemporary, with soaring ceilings and graceful columns adding a more classic elegance. The hotel is built upon three pillars – cuisine, spa and service – which are reflected in the facilities that are offered. The hotel’s spa, Anagenisis, is the first holistic spa on the island, with therapies that draw influence from ancient and contemporary techniques from around the world, using local ingredients such as sea salt, organic olive oil and fresh herbs. A tempting array of restaurants is on offer to guests, from fresh seafood at the Psari-Seafood Grill at the edge of the cliff with magnificent views over the bay, to Ambrosia, the main restaurant, which uses the finest ingredients in many traditional Cypriot recipes. Each of the guestrooms and suites has been decorated with warm colours and timber floors to create a cosy ambience that enables guests to feel at home. All suites have their own personal butler, and a butler service is available upon request in all other room types. Perfect for a hotel dedicated to relaxation and service of the highest quality.

Cyprus is rich in history and culture, and there are many historic sites well worth visiting in the Paphos area, with culture trails to Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Gothic remains. Paphos itself is a haven for watersports, diving and deep-sea fishing, or you can take to the air instead for a sightseeing flight. If you would like to combine your holiday with a few rounds of golf there are three 18-hole golf courses in the vicinity. Inland, the hills are quiet and unspoilt, with vineyards, olive trees, citrus groves and charming old villages where you’ll find the locals very friendly. There are plenty of opportunities here for hiking in the cooler months, and even skiing in winter.
