Our opinion
The Anassa is a truly world-class hotel yet one that caters remarkably well for discerning families.
Hotel description
Hugging the hillside above a charming beach, the palatial and majestic Anassa Hotel overlooks the celebrated Baths of Aphrodite. The hotel architecture has been designed to mimic a classical Greek village with its whitewashed villas and louvered shutters. The hotel enjoys a stunning location on the unspoilt northwest coast of the island and offers elegant and refined spaces in which to relax.
The guestrooms of the Anassa are located in the main building or in one of the individual residences that are dotted around the immaculately landscaped gardens. Luxury fittings and features and a private balcony provide elegant surroundings in which to enjoy the beautiful views over the Mediterranean. The family studios provide excellent and spacious accommodation, with the one-bedroom studios sleeping up to two adults and two children, and interconnecting rooms are also available. The Smiling Dolphin Club is open throughout the year for children aged from four to twelve, where they can enjoy an extensive range of activities such as cooking, painting and games. Guests can make use of a number of complimentary water sports. A fine array of health and beauty treatments is offered in the breathtaking Thalassa Spa, which draws upon the restorative and rejuvenating qualities of the minerals present in natural seawater. The Anassa hotel’s four restaurants welcome guests with an eclectic mix of local and international dishes, which are made with the freshest of produce from the hotel’s own farm. Children can benefit from early dining times and will enjoy the choice offered by the specially designed children’s menu.
