The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale is an excellent hotel for an active family holiday.

Set around a ‘water play-ground’ in the dramatic Sonoran Desert Hyatt Regency Scottsdale is a sophisticated resort amongst spectacular scenery. The grey stone architecture of the resort is traditionally southwestern in style, complementing the landscape that surrounds it without detracting from its beauty. The hotel effortlessly moves from outside to inside, retaining a sense of light and space through subtle tones and potted cacti. Fresh from extensive renovation in 2008 the resort's guest rooms and suites boast a fine range of bedrooms designed to reflect the warm character of the south-west. The private balconies enjoy views over landscaped courtyards, the lagoon and lake, the golf club or the mountains. Many of the rooms are suitable for families up to 4 people.
The resort’s landscaped gardens are breathtaking, bringing flowers and palm groves to an area that would otherwise have been barren and dry. The resort’s centrepiece is the 2.5 acre ‘water playground.’ Here, a Grecian influenced water temple takes pride of place amongst ten pools, whilst the ‘Big Gun’ waterfall rushes constantly. Children will especially enjoy the waterslide that forms part of this and Camp Hyatt Kachina, the children’s club that offers an exciting range of cultural, educational and fun activities, such as pottery painting, water volleyball and visits to the resort’s Native American Centre. Further facilities at the resort include 27 holes of championship golf, the beautiful Spa Avania, tennis, jogging, bicycle trails and many off-site activities such as desert horse-riding and Grand Canyon air tours. Of the resort's five restaurants, Alto Restaurante e bar offers flavoursome Italian fare with an accent on fresh seasonal ingredients whilst wood-fired specialities abound at the South West Bistro. This is an excellent hotel for an active family holiday.
