The Hotel Relais dell’Orologio is a tasteful and small hotel full of historic character with just 19 rooms. It opened in 2003 after being completely refurbished and restored from a 14th Century fortified tower house. The Relais dell'Orologio is named after the clock set on the arch between the hotel and the adjoining house by the architect Vasari who was instrumental in the development of much of Pisa including the Piazza delle Sette Strade. The position of the Relais dell'Orologio is superb; in the heart of the old town, a few minutes’ walk from the Leaning Tower and the two beautiful squares, the Piazza dei Miracoli and the Piazza dei Cavalieri. The structure of the building has been preserved and traditional but comfortable furnishings added. To the rear of the Hotel Relais dell'Orologio is a charming garden, where breakfast can be taken in fine weather.
