The Grotta Giusti Resort Golf and Spa offers a pleasant stay in an idyllic refined setting in the Tuscan hills. The hotel is a typical Florentine Palace and the original villa dates back some 500 years. A unique feature of this stylish and elegant hotel is that it has its very own natural underground cave network that forms an integral part of the spa. The caves divide into three sections of varying heat: Paradiso; Purgatorio and Inferno and offer guests the opportunity to take advantage of natural minerals found here. As well as these fascinating thermal caves, there is also the added attraction of an underground lake (where scuba divers can experience a unique session). New in 2010, an open-air thermal pool features a waterfall and underwater hydromassage. Beauty and mud treatments are just some of the programmes that can be enjoyed as well as a therapeutic thermal pool. Spa packages are also available. In addition to the spa treatments guests can also take advantage of a range of other sporting activities including an outdoor fitness programme, reduced green fees on the local course and the attractive outdoor swimming pool (also thermal) that is set in a pretty corner of the grounds. The charming restaurant is very spacious and offers a variety of Tuscan specialities including a light menu for those guests on a special diet. Bedrooms are plush and elegant, decorated in typical Tuscan colours of yellow and brown. Rooms either overlook the park at the front of the hotel or the mountain at the back. Superior and deluxe rooms are quite unique in that there is an additional tap in the bathroom where thermal water is pumped directly from the spring straight to your bath! A relaxing hotel and ideal for guests who want to relax and be pampered and enjoy a real Tuscan experience.
