A unique Villa designed by an Englishman with a Sicilian twist.
Located in the heart of Taormina, set in beautiful gardens with superb panoramic views, the Ashbee hotel was designed by Charles Robert Ashbee in the early 20th Century for Colonel Shaw-Helier. This elegant villa mixes Sicilian tradition with a certain English stately home grandeur which makes the house unique within Taormina. The interiors are a combination of classical columns and pillars with contemporary, modern rooms which are light and airy. The hotel is ideally situated to explore the many wonders of Taormina from the excellent shops and restaurants to the numerous historical sites. There are just 25 guest rooms and suites and each one, although unique in layout and design, has classic touches and is decorated in muted shades, with rich fabrics and antique furnishings. The outdoor infinity pool offers superb views along the Eastern coastline, stretching as far out to the mainland Calabrian coast and is the perfect place to relax, within the peaceful surrounds of the beautiful gardens. The St George Restaurant offers a unique culinary experience whilst the A Terrace Bar is the perfect place to enjoy an aperitif or an after dinner drink with wonderful views out to sea. There are many excellent restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.
