Our opinion
Villa del Parco represents seclusion and exclusivity nestling in a verdant setting.
Hotel description
Set back amongst the greenery of the manicured gardens and the pinewoods are the 25 luxurious rooms and 22 bungalows of the Villa del Parco, where you will enjoy the exclusive atmosphere and the personalised service. A bonus is the proximity of the Villa del Parco to the Thaermae del Forte health and beauty centre for pampering and well-being. The guests of the Villa del Parco have breakfast at Il Patio and for dinner, the elegant Belvedere restaurant is reserved. The Castello swimming pool is reserved for use of the guests of the Villa del Parco, the Castello, Le Dune and the suites.Villa del Parco is a member of 'Small Leading Hotels of the World'. The renowned Forte Village resort is a splendid holiday resort with seven hotels situated amid 25 hectares of parkland (largely pinewoods and lush gardens of lawn and Mediterranean plants). Just forty-two kilometres (about 45 minutes) from Cagliari, the Forte Village resort offers a wide range of good quality holiday accommodation, ideally suited to families of all ages and excellent outdoor activities and facilities. Benefitting from the sub-tropical micro-climate of this south-western part of Sardinia, the Forte Village has two kilometres of sandy, gently-shelving beach. The accommodation is dotted amongst the lush greenery of pine and palm trees; the buildings carefully blending in with the natural vegetation. Each hotel has its own distinct character with some rooms being in bungalows and some being more adapted to family occupancy. For families, there are activities to suit all ages, from the sophistication of the thalassotherapy centre, with its sea-water tubs, mud baths, gym and massage facilities to the fun of the mini-club for children aged 2 to 12, where children can make friends and play under the supervision of trained staff. There is also a nursery service for children up to 3 years and baby-sitting for children of all ages. Land and water sports abound from tennis to windsurfing, basketball to water skiing. Swimming pools are strategically placed throughout the resort, some being reserved for guests of certain hotels, with others being more family affairs with water slides and trampolines. Lunchtimes can be taken at a variety of restaurants by the sea and by the pools. Evenings at the Forte Village resort are more formal with a range of restaurants to cater for different styles and tastes; from the Bellavista overlooking the sea and the Beachcomber serving seafood specialities on the beachfront terrace, to the Cavalieri outdoor buffet at the Hotel Castello and the Belvedere with its elegant and refined service and fine wine list.
