Our opinion
The Gritti Palace is well-deserving of its reputation as one of the best hotels in Europe.
Hotel description
Housed in one of the most elegant historic palaces that line the Grand Canal, the Gritti Palace is one of the leading hotels in Europe and in our opinion certainly justifies this reputation. The Gritti Palace offers all the superb levels of service, comfort and ambience that you would expect from an hotel of this standard. As you enter the Gritti Palace you notice the exquisite charm and quality of your surroundings: the marble floor, the wooden panelled walls, the huge displays of fresh flowers, the paintings and the splendid antique furniture. Yet the ambience is one of relaxation and well-being. The bedrooms are all Venetian in style and have marble bathrooms. They vary in size, with a few overlooking the Grand Canal. Other outstanding features of the Hotel Gritti Palace include the restaurant and the ‘Club del Doge’, overlooking the Grand Canal with outdoor terrace.
