The Hotel Caruso is set high on a cliff top in the beautiful town of Ravello overlooking the stunning Amalfi Coast. The hotel occupies a spectacular location rich in ancient history with glorious and colourful views of the surrounding area. The Hotel Caruso is owned by Orient-Express Hotels and is a sister hotel to the Hotel Splendido in Portofino, the Hotel Cipriani in Venice and the Villa San Michele in Fiesole. The Hotel Caruso boasts 48 rooms and suites most with a terrace and glorious sea views, and some of the deluxe junior suites also have a garden. The hotel has recently been refurbished and many of the buildings restored, including the ‘Belvedere’ garden area that features a grand 11th Century Colonnade with superb views. The Belvedere also boasts a swimming pool, spa, gym and the beautiful Belvedere open-air restaurant. In the main building is the Caruso restaurant where guests can dine on the outdoor terrace whilst admiring the outstanding views of the Amalfi Coast, and then enjoy an after-dinner drink in the cocktail and piano bar. Days at the Hotel Caruso can be spent exploring the stunning surrounding area: as well as glorious scenery the striking town of Ravello boasts many architectural attractions including the wonderful Villa Rufolo, a mediaeval villa surrounded by pretty gardens and exotic plants and fountains. The Villa Cimbrone features paintings, antiques and relics from all over Italy and colourful gardens rich in Mediterranean flora and fauna. There are also many walks to be enjoyed along picturesque mountain paths as well as sailing excursions from Amalfi to Positano, Sorrento and Capri.
