    The journey and how you get there

    Expressions Holidays suggests that you fly with British Airways or Emirates from London to Malé International Airport. Flying time is about 10 hours and then when you arrive at Malé airport, the transfer time by speedboat is only 25 minutes.

    This four-star adult focused resort provides relaxation and inspiration for guests dreaming of a peaceful Maldivian retreat. The spa facilities and tranquil setting make it ideal for couples and honeymooners and the numerous unique experiences available, from diving excursions to a dolphin cruise, are perfect opportunities to make new memories with your partner. The resort’s décor is simple yet warm, with splashes of orange and turquoise that mirror the tropical surroundings and polished wooden floors that create a sleek yet inviting atmosphere. Whether you opt for a beach villa or lagoon villa, the Traditional Maldivian design harmonises with the greenery and white sands that surround the resort and the large windows boast stunning tropical views.

    The Maldives

    Temperature:Temperatures are consistently hot averaging about 31 degrees Centigrade. Sea temperatures average about 27 degrees Centigrade. The year is divided into two monsoon periods, the north-east monsoon from December to March (drier) and the south-west monsoon from May to November (wetter months with stronger winds).

    Airport: About 1 hour and 10 minutes by car.
    Size: 865 square kilometres
    Currency: Mauritian rupee (£1 = 35 Rs)Population 1.1 million
    Temperature: The hottest months are from January to April, although this is also the cyclone season and the weather can be humid with temperatures ranging from 25 to 35 degrees Centigrade. There is no distinct rainy season. The Mauritian winter months are June, July, August when temperatures average about 24 degrees Centigrade with the evenings being about 16 degrees Centigrade. However, the weather does vary from the east to the west coast. The east is breezier, and feels cooler during their winter months. The north-west near Port Louis is often the driest and the warmest part of the island. During their winter months you should have a jacket or jumper for the evenings. Dining is outside throughout the year.

    Temperature: The Seychelles fall outside the cyclone zone. The seasons divide into May to October, when the south-east trade winds blow and November to April when the winds are from the north-west which can bring rain, particularly in January. January is the wettest month, July and August are the driest months. The temperature is pretty constant throughout the year, ranging between 24 and 31 degrees Centigrade and humidity is around 80 percent.
