Hotel description
Palm Island occupies a private tropical island of soft white sandy beaches surrounded by turquoise sea about a mile from Union Island in the Grenadines. The hotel was extensively refurbished about five years ago to create a private island resort of the highest quality. Palm Island is run along the lines of Galley Bay, its sister property in Antigua, with emphasis on high standards of service and surroundings. Its island location provides as much rest and relaxation as you want, with sporting activities from snorkelling to fishing, sailing to swimming being available. Excursions can be arranged to the nearby Tobago Cays and other islands. The accommodation consists of 43 rooms located in the grounds amongst palm trees and dotted alongside the sandy beach, with air conditioning, rattan and bamboo furniture and richly coloured fabrics. A special feature of each room is the patio to the front, especially rewarding in the beachfront cottages where the sand is on your doorstep and the sea just a few yards away. There are now two villas, one with two bedrooms and one with three bedrooms. Other facilities include two restaurants, two bars, a freeform freshwater swimming pool, tennis, massage treatments, an open-air gym, nature trails and a yacht harbour. Palm Island offers a real island hideaway feel yet with the high standards of comfort, service and facilities the discerning guest demands today. Highly recommended.
