The setting of the Jalousie Plantation, Sugar Beach could hardly be more spectacular, nestling as it does in 325 acres of tropical vegetation on a hillside as it descends to the Caribbean Sea between the breathtakingly beautiful Piton mountains. The grounds of the hotel abound with fruit trees, such as mango, banana, papaya, coconut, avocado and soursop, as well as colourful flowering shrubs such as hibiscus, jasmine, oleander and bougainvillaea. The red flamboyant trees attract tiny humming birds, and the colourful Jacquot parrot is known to fly over the resort. The focal point of the hotel is the Great House, which contains the reception area, gift shops, bars and restaurants offering a variety of formal and casual dining arrangements. The character and ambience of the rooms at Jalousie Plantation is very Caribbean, yet their facilities meet the exacting requirements of the modern guest. In addition, there are now brand new Luxury villas, some with mountain and some with sea view, built in small clusters and furnished with a 4-poster bed, custom made furniture in white, oversize plunge pool, terrace and minibar. Some are two bedroomed and ideal for family groups. Your time here at the Jalousie Plantation can be spent basking in the tropical sun on the beach or by the pool whilst you wonder at the beauty of the natural scenery around you or take part in the extensive range of sports and spa facilities available. The all new Rainforest Spa offers a variety of treatments and rituals such as the Bamboo massage. The surroundings nearby are very inviting with the rain forest, a plantation, the sulphur springs and the local fishing town of Soufrière to explore. The Jalousie Plantation benefits from a gloriously spectacular beachfront location surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Highly recommended.
