Our opinion
Almond Morgan Bay is an excellent all-inclusive resort in a beautifully secluded setting.
Hotel description
Curved around a perfect crescent of bone-white beach on the northwest coast of St Lucia, Almond Morgan Bay is only 15 minutes from the capital Castries, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. An all-inclusive resort, where even restaurant tips are included in the price of your stay, life here is deliciously simple, with a wealth of activities for the active, but an air of secluded tranquillity if all you want to do is kick back at the beach or pool. Hidden away among coconut palms and papaya trees, all rooms at Almond Morgan Bay have private balcony or terrace, where guests can enjoy sundowner cocktails with views of the 22-acre landscaped tropical gardens or sea. Designed to make your stay as relaxing as possible, the all-inclusive package at Almond Morgan Bay covers pretty much everything you could hope to do, from waterskiing and windsurfing to snorkeling and sipping cocktails by the pool. They’ll even look after your kids, leaving you to your spa treatments and sports. Split into five distinct age groups, the complimentary Kids’ Club has indoor and outdoor games and activities to suit all ages. So while the little ones are dancing and painting, older kids can play beach games and watersports, and also enjoy computer games, movies and even a weekly cinema, while children aged 13+ can hang out with friends at the hotel’s Teens’ Centre. Blessed with fabulously fresh seafood and a rich culinary heritage, St Lucia is noted for the quality and diversity of its dishes, and nowhere does this better than Almond Morgan Bay. There are four gourmet restaurants offering a choice of French ‘Creole’ cuisine, Carbibbean/Asian fusion, continental fare, and spectacular seafood. With a gym, four pools (one exclusively for adults, another for kids), tennis, sailing and windsurfing plus the nearby Cap Estate Golf Course, life at Almond Morgan Bay can be as busy as you want it to be. However, with a beach this good, most guests have a hard time dragging themselves from the loungers. Almond Morgan Bay offers barefoot luxury in a spectacular, secluded setting.
