Our opinion
A world-class spa complements one of the world’s most famous hotels.
Hotel description
Sandy Lane continues to enjoy its formidable reputation as one of the leading hotels in the Caribbean. Occupying a glorious location amid tropical grounds on a superb stretch of soft, white-sand beach on the west coast of Barbados, Sandy Lane is one of the most prestigious hotels in Barbados. Its prime objective is to create total luxury and service to satisfy the most demanding of clients for the new century.
There are 113 oversized rooms and suites, two penthouses and a villa. The majority of suites have ocean views, although some have views of the tropical gardens, and all have large verandas with ceiling fans. The Villa is nestled in its own private garden and boasts five en-suite bedrooms, a private pool and its own staff. The general facilities of the hotel have been planned to offer an outstanding range of leisure, sports and pampering to cater for couples, families, those who want high quality sports activities and those who are keen to rest. Sports facilities include floodlit championship tennis courts with coaching, swimming pool and gym, and a wide range of water sports is available on the beach. Dining has been designed to reflect a variety of moods and occasions with casual, all-day dining offered in Bajan Blue and more elegant haute cuisine found in L’Acajou.
Sandy Lane’s Spa in every way matches the hotel’s other facilities, with eleven luxurious suites, both indoor and out, offering holistic Ayurvedic therapies, traditional Bajan massages and personalised health and fitness programmes, as well as a large range of sophisticated beauty treatments. Golf has also been a highlight of Sandy Lane and now it will provide an amazing choice of contrasting golfing experiences with a total of 45 holes of championship golf. The Treehouse Club provides supervised entertainment for children aged 3 to 12, plus an area for teenagers and a room where infants can be accommodated along with their nanny or babysitter.
With its world-class facilities and impeccable service, Sandy Lane remains one of our favourite hotels.
