Our opinion
Colony Club is an elegantly informal colonial-style hotel with contemporary comfort and on a lovely stretch of Barbados beach.
Hotel description
Barbados’ Colony Club sits in spacious tropical gardens of lawns and coconut palms that reach a marvellous beachfront of soft golden-white sand, lapped by the azure sea of Barbados. The Colony Club hotel has an elegant yet informal atmosphere. Colonial-style architecture and traditional touches, such as the gastronomic Orchid Room restaurant, lend an air of bygone charm, yet the swim-up bar and extensive swimming lagoons and streams that meander through the Colonial Club resort offer contemporary holiday attractions. In the daytime you can soak up the sun by the swimming pool, relax on the sandy beach, try your hand at numerous water sports offered by the Colony Club or enjoy a game of tennis in the early morning or late afternoon. Come nightfall, enjoy an aperitif in the comfortable Planters Cocktail Bar before dining in the Colony Club’s Laguna Restaurant with its open-sided atrium housing tall palm trees where you are served Bajan and international cuisine in a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere. For a special evening, upgrade to the highly acclaimed Orchid Room, the non-smoking à la carte restaurant which is open for between three and five evenings a week. The 96 bedrooms at Colony Club vary in size and location but are all spacious and well furnished.
