Our opinion
Cobblers Cove is one of our favourite hotels in Barbados for location, accommodation, service and ambience.
Hotel description
The Cobblers Cove hotel is one of those wonderful hotels that has an atmosphere of sophistication without being ostentatious, of cosiness and style, of an English country house in an exotic climate. On a classically Caribbean palm-fringed beach of golden-white sand in a quieter spot to the north of the famous west coast of Barbados, the Cobblers Cove hotel consists of a charming pink-washed historic main house, colonial in style, surrounded by the two-storey houses of suite accommodation. The main house at Cobblers Cove is the focal point of the hotel with its breezy lounge of comfortable sofas and armchairs and an open-air bar that leads on to the terrace restaurant at the side of the beach. In the pretty gardens all around the Cobblers Cove resort are tall coconut palms, flamboyant trees and flowering shrubs of frangipani and hibiscus, all of which attract the hummingbirds and banana quits. From the gardens there is direct access from Cobblers Cove to the sandy beach, or you can relax by the swimming pool. The accommodation in 40 suites, either ground-floor or first-floor, is spacious, charming and comfortable at the Cobblers Cove hotel. Designed to blend into the beautiful gardens outside, the suites have a living room which opens onto the balcony or terrace where comfortable loungers wait invitingly. A wet bar with fridge and kettle, dressing room, towelling robes and air-conditioned bedrooms add to your sense of wellbeing and comfort. The Colleton and the Camelot are two very luxurious suites at the Cobblers Cove resort with their own rooftop plunge pool located in the main building. The Terrace restaurant with its tiled floor, wooden beams, palms and open walls is an elegant but relaxing venue for dinner. Cobblers Cove’s cuisine enjoys an excellent reputation and offers interesting flavours based on an enticing combination of local fish, vegetables and fruits. One of the best-loved hotels in Barbados, the Cobblers Cove hotel is a charming and relaxing tropical haven.
